AJ Bodybuilding Magazine respects the privacy of the bodybuilding community and the people who choose to share content with us.

Information we collect

When you share with AJ, you may voluntarily provide:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Instagram or social handle
  • Location
  • Team / region
  • Your story or context about your submission
  • Photos and videos
  • Your consent selections

When you use the website, standard technical information may also be processed, such as browser and device information and normal server and security logs.

Remember my details

If you choose the optional "Remember my details on this device" setting, your name, email, Instagram handle, location and team / region are stored locally in your browser on that device so you don't have to retype them. Your phone number is stored only if you also choose "Remember my phone number too."

Your stories, consent selections and uploaded media are never remembered this way. You are asked for consent again each time you share. You can turn off the setting or clear your browser storage at any time.

How information is used

AJ may use the information you provide to:

  • Review submitted content
  • Communicate with you about your submission
  • Evaluate stories and media for editorial coverage
  • Publish approved content
  • Operate and improve the website
  • Protect the website and submission system from misuse
  • Respond to inquiries

AJ does not sell your personal information.

Media and file processing

Photos and videos you submit are securely transferred to service providers AJ uses to receive and manage submitted media, including Dropbox.

Service providers

AJ relies on service providers for functions such as website hosting and file storage and transfer. If AJ later adds ecommerce, payment processing, fulfillment or analytics, those providers may also process information needed for their service. These companies handle information according to their own terms and privacy obligations as applicable.

Third-party links

Links to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, shops and other third-party websites are governed by those services' own policies.

Data retention

AJ retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for editorial, operational, legal and security purposes.
